Independent Joburg Pavilion at the 2015 Venice Biennale
A free-wheeling group of South Africa’s leading artists are joining forces to launch an independent performance exhibition at the 2015 Venice Biennale. The Joburg Pavilion will run in parallel to South Africa's official pavilion during the opening days of the Venice Biennale and involves 12 performance artists and works by 15 film and video artists, “all exploring what Johannesburg means to them”, Van Wyk said. Athi-Patra Ruga, Anthea Moys, Bogosi Sekhukhuni, Kudzanai Chiurai and Thenjiwe Niki Nkosi are among those taking part. article via www.labiennale.org
