If improvisation could serve as a manual, if gesture could serve as a guide

NGO-Nothing Gets Organised collaborates with Vleeshal Centre for Contemporary Art to host If improvisation could serve as a manual, if gesture could serve as a guide, featuring perfomances, readings and conversations by Christian Nyampeta, Jota Mombaça and Nyakallo Maleke. This program is curated by the curatorial duo Nomaduma Rosa Masilela and Thiago de Paula Souza who are responsible for the Nomadic Program 2022-2023. With a practice anchored in collaborative methodologies they have developed a coherent program that takes place beyond the walls of Vleeshal’s Middelburg home base. Their engagement revolves around the question posed by the US American poet-activist Audre Lorde: How do we learn to love each other while we are embattled on so many fronts? a question that serves as a means through which to engage a generative methodology evoking theorist Denise Ferreira da Silva's sensibility of re/de/composition. vleeshal.nl
