Eria Nsubuga Sane: THE KING’S WOMEN AND USELESS ART

8 September 2014

Closes: 25 September 2014

Afriart Gallery presents the exhibition 'THE KING’S WOMEN AND USELESS ART’ with new paintings by Eria Nsubuga Sane.

Sane explores two recurrent themes in this exhibition. In one theme, he discusses women issues, globalised modernity, changing and conflicting roles in daily life, sexuality, identity and politics. Sane in the second theme touches on the touchy subject of the ‘useless art’ debate and attacks politicians and business people who refuse to engage art.
