Climate Change and Your Community – Group Show

Africa Soft Power in association with Fenchurch Group cordially invites to the Lagos edition of Africa Soft Power’s global exhibition tour, which showcases the talent of the four finalists: Doux Free, Eiseke Bolaji, Emerson Lawson, Abubakar Sadiq Mustapha, from the Climate Photo Essay Prize.

The works of the 2023 finalists are on a global tour – which began in Nairobi, Kenya, during Africa Climate Week, at the beginning of September. Since then, these award-winning works have been exhibited at The Africa Center in New York during the UN General Assembly, and The Africa Centre during Frieze Week in London. They are scheduled to be shown in Lagos during Art Week in November, and they will also be featured at COP28 in Dubai this December.

The promising young photographers featured each address the theme, Climate Change and Your Community, from a unique perspective – and their photography is a powerful catalyst for broadening climate literacy. The Photo Essay Prize represents the inaugural project of Africa Soft Power’s extensive climate change program, with a focus on climate education.

Explore compelling artworks with influential figures deeply passionate about the intersections of climate change, art, and Africa’s role in this global issue.
