Anoko, one of New York’s hottest new start- ups is hosting a private launch party on Saturday November 19th in Dumbo, Brooklyn, which will feature a pop-up art exhibition and showcase visual art, music and dance performances.
Participating visual artists include Tim Okamura, Delphine Diallo, Duhirwe Rushemeza, Aida Muluneh, Barron Claiborne, Tahir Karmali, Alexis Peskine, Leon Reid, Alfred Conteh, Fausto Ramos, and Nii Narku. Other performing artists include singer Shimite, saxophonist Eric Thomas, trumpet player Christopher Allison, dancer Ehizoje Azeke and the SHIFT, Dance. Arts. & Media dance company.
Anoko is a new members only art social club based in New York City, that connects professionals with arts, culture and culinary experiences. Through a diverse set of partnerships, including with arts institutions, galleries, performance venues, hotels, and restaurants, Anoko provides its members with discounts and VIP access. For Anoko, art is a meditation on life that can create a window into our past, present and future and unlock one of the greatest mysteries in life – ourselves. It is through education about and access to art, that Anoko is curating an ecosystem to help its members build both cultural and financial wealth. It is no coincidence that “wealth” just also happens to be the meaning of “Anoko” in the Nigerian language, Igala.
