Afrotech Fest

Afrotech Fest

Afrotech Fest is a two-day tech and digital festival by and for black people of African and Caribbean heritage.

The festival won’t replicate models for tech events, festivals and conferences that currently exist. It will instead explore where technology meets the arts, history, news, activism and representation. Afrotech Fest provides a space where people across a variety of backgrounds can imagine a future that’s free of the problems of the present.

Friday afternoon and Saturday will feature a range of facilitated workshops to allow attendees to explore their interests or learn something new, be it a new technology or the unique work black people are doing with tech.

Alongside the workshops, Afrotech Fest’s impressive line-up of speakers will be delivering talks sharing their unique perspective on the tech world and what they’re doing with technologies they use. The Friday programme will close with performances from digital artists and a party, leaving everyone energised and excited for Saturday. Find the full programme here
