A FRACTION TOO MUCH FRICTION

A FRACTION TOO MUCH FRICTION

'Artist are sensitive observers who plunge deep in the darkness and realms of reality where they pick up vibes. Those wordless sensations, they try to bring to the surface of our material world. This process is like pulling something through a twister, an inner-dialogue that takes place and is processed into matter. What we get to see is the results of these turmoil’s that bubble under the surface of what we perceive as reality. The exhibition - A fraction too much friction – after a song of Tim Finn shows us, from 3 different perspectives, the ongoing tensions that are occurring within the individual and the collective. Virginie Bailly, Sofie Haesaerts and Ermias Kifleyesus each have their unique way to translate their experiences into drawings, paintings and sculptural objects that aim visualise the unspoken.'
